Harddome Tweeters

Two drivers, one promise: analytical, fast, precise. The ETON Harddome tweeters 26HD3 and 29HD2 were developed for audiophile DIY projects where detailed, spatially precise treble takes center stage. The double-sided ceramic coating on the magnesium dome eliminates resonant peaks and delivers the analytical Harddome character—without the harsh metallic sound that many developers know from pure aluminum domes. Made in Germany, from the ETON factory.

Both ETON Harddome tweeters share the same sound character and the same ceramic coating technology. The difference lies in their physical format, efficiency, and resonant frequency – and thus in their intended applications.

The 26HD3 is the top choice for high-efficiency, space-saving systems: 92 dB, 1.8 T, compact format (90 mm Ø, 26.5 mm mounting depth). Thanks to identical dimensions, it is directly interchangeable with the Softdome 25SD4 – hard dome precision or soft dome warmth in the same housing, no modifications required. A crossover frequency starting at 2 kHz is possible.

The 29HD2 offers the lowest resonant frequency in the Harddome product range (590 Hz), the highest power handling (120 W), and more precise directivity at high frequencies thanks to the larger 28 mm dome (104 mm Ø). Housing-compatible with the Softdome 28SD1. For high-fidelity high-end systems with a clearly defined sweet spot.
